Application Number 6158 of George Lape
George Lape of Claverack enrolled with Henry I. Van Rensselaer in a year he could not recall, and served in Johnstown, Conawago, Saratoga, Fort Ann, Fort George and Fort Edward.
George Lape's application was denied because his name was not found in the roster list by a Mr. Edwards, Esq., of Hudson. According to Jeff Lape, "His name does appear in the roster even today, as Jurry Lape in "New York in the Revolution" and as George Laap in the 8th regiment, Albany County Militia roster."
Application Number R9284 of Peter Scism
Peter Scism of Taghkanick enrolled at Nobletown (Hillsdale) entered the service as a substitute in 1780, at the age of sixteen, and served in Verplanck's Point and Dobb's Ferry. He was on guard the day Major Andre was hung.
Peter Scism's application was denied for reasons not recorded.
