Brothers Aaron Delong, perhaps b. 1750s, John, b. 1758/9 & Simon Delong, b. 13 Sep or 13 Oct 1761. Parents unknown. The 3 perhaps left for Philadelphia by mid-1770s. They had at least one more brother & maybe a sister, Hannah. Later John & Simon stated they were b. Albany Co. (incl. Col. Co. at that time). I cannot locate any Col. Co. records for this period. I found a Jonas Delong, son of Johan/John, bp. Hopewell, Dutch. Co. on Simon's alleged birthdate.

Can't find Dutch. Co. records for John or Aaron's baptism. Jonas' Delong's father, John, was in Dutch. Co. court in 1754 as father of an unborn "bastard" & surety was posted by brother, Arie. Did they leave for Columbia Co for the birth, stay there through 1758/9 & go to Hopewell by 1761?

An Arie Delong was proprietor of Beekman Arms in Rhinebeck & Johan/John Delong (above) lived Beekmantown. Was Arie of the inn his brother?

Margaret Bathrick

Seeking any info on Margaret BATHRICK, who married 5 April 1801, Peter P. KILMER who was baptised 2 April 1780. They had a daughter named Lydia KILMER who was born 25 Dec. 1796 and married 12 Nov. 1819, James M. BROWN. Some of Peter and Margaret (BATHRICK) KILMER's and some of James and Lydia (KILMER) BROWN's children were baptised at the Greenbush Dutch Reformed Church, known as "Vedder's Church". I'm not sure where this church is located, but local records on James BROWN state that he was from Columbia CO., NY. James and Lydia migrated to Lackawanna Co., PA, where they raised a large family and later died.

Email to Melissa Holgate at

I was able to help Melissa out some with my own research on Margaretha Bathrick and let her know that Vedders Church is located in Gallatin near Jackson's Corners and Gallatinville. There are quite a few Bathricks in this cemetery.
