W hen you have special server requirements, such as a task that is CPU intensive, or a custom application that requires complete configuration control, colocation is right for you. Colocation gives you the advantage of having a dedicated server on a high speed Internet connection without the added costs and administrative overhead of hauling a dedicated circuit to your facilities.

With colocation you can place your server on our high speed internal network, which is directly connected to the Internet. The advantages of a colocated server over a Virtual Server are:

• Reserves CPU usage for your use
• Faster access to your information and services
• Greater flexibility in adding CGI applications
• Custom applications, such as database systems can be installed easily
• The ability to sub-let space on your server to other companies

The server can be pre-configured and provided by you, or configured and provided by us and leased to you. What's more, we can provide system administration and monitoring of your machine. In the event of a failure, you can choose to have us notify you, or to have us correct the problem.

The Options

With our colocation option, you can choose one of two options.

BYOB (Bring Your Own Box.)

In this option, you supply the server, we plug it in. This option includes:

• 10 Gigabytes monthly transfers, $100 each additional 10 gigs.
• 10 IP addresses and DNS administration of 10 domains. Each additional IP/Domain is $2/mo.
• Dedicated 10Mbps Ethernet switch port.
• You provide full administration to your machine. You are fully responsible for its hardware. Any UPS must be provided by you.
• 24x7 uptime monitoring. We will notify you if the server goes off-line. We will attempt a cold restart of the server at your request.
• We provide 1 hour of administration/after hours access to the machine in your first 30 days. Additional administration or after hours access is available at $50 per hour during business hours and $100 per hour outside of business hours.
• $300 Monthly, $500 Setup

We Provide the Server

Another option is to have us provide the machine with a default software suite, configured as a generic web server. This option is specially suited towards resellers: This options includes:

• 10 Gigabytes monthly transfer. $100 each additional 10 gigs.
• 10 IP addresses and free DNS administration of 10 Domains ($2 each additional IP/Domain).
• Dedicated 10Mbps ethernet switch port.
• 4 Hours server administration first 30 days.
• Pre-Installed Software: Solaris 2.6 patched, Sendmail 8.8.7, Apache 1.2.5, Qpopper 2.3 (POP mail), gcc 2.7.2, Perl 5.004_4, Pico 2.9, tcsh, bash, Traceroute 1.45a plus several CGI scripts from Matt's Script Archive.
