Updating settings in Email
In order to update your email software to use the new mail server, the following changes need to be made on a previously working installation of Thunderbird.
These instructions are for @berkshire.net Email addresses. Modify as necessary for hosted website accounts. |
Some ISPs require that you use their outgoing Mail Server. Check with your provider. BerkshireNet does not do this
Attn. Verizon Customers
It has come to our attention that Verizon has begun blocking outbound mail on port 25. If your outbound mail is not working please contact Verizon DL support for help in fixing this issue.

I have created these several instruction pages to help with reconfiguring your email software to work with the new server. This reference is not comprehensive or excusive. There are many different email client software and most can be used with BerkshireNet. These are the four that I am most familiar with.
