Through our Lichtenstein Center for the Arts events, we hope to participate in the exciting renaissance of Downtown Pittsfield championed by Mayor Ruberto and Cultural Affairs Development head Megan Whilden. Through the cooperation of the City we are able to perform some of our plays in a new and intimate setting in the center of the city. Town Players will be doing a production each month that we're not performing at BCC.

by A.R. Gurney Directed by Tom Reardon LOVE LETTERS" reconstructs the lifelong correspondence between Andy and Melissa whose relationship evolved beyond friendship and sibling bonds and romantic ties into something so complete, that it got taken for granted until too late. Through 50-odd years they wrote each other. They let no one else enter that world of letters. Husband, wife and achievements faded into mere appendages. Gurney traces this lifelong correspondence between Andy and Melissa through a lifetime of letters. The script explores their life in real time as a letter is being read the recipient.

![]() by Harold Pinter directed by John Trainor
In a seedy basement below a café, two hit-men, Gus and Ben,
await instructions for their next assignment in a windowless,
comfortless Birmingham basement.
Primed and ready, they don't know when the call will come,
or who their next victim will be.
Unfortunately for them, their predicament takes a bizarre turn as
unsettling messages are received from the presumably abandoned floors above.
One thing's for sure: they weren't expecting an order for steak and chips!

"The Problem" looks at the lighter side of dysfunction. The play focuses on a married couple who might not always say what they mean. The piece ricochets back and forth between the two, ending with a revelation of who truly "wears the pants in the family."
